Choosing a kurta or tunic online is easier when you compare measurements, rather than relying only on the size letter you usually wear. A Small in one design may not give you the same fit as a Small in another. The neckline, sleeves, back design and garment length also affect how you will feel wearing it.
At Hriday Fab, the size charts show body measurements in inches. These numbers describe the body the size is intended for. They are not measurements of a garment laid flat. Here is how to use them before adding an outfit to your basket.
Start with three body measurements
Use a flexible measuring tape and measure over light clothing or the undergarments you expect to wear with the outfit. Stand naturally. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body without pulling it tight.
Measure around the fullest part of your bust, around your natural waist, and around the fullest part of your hips. A mirror or a second person can help you check that the tape stays level around your back. Write the three measurements down in inches, and measure again if a number seems unexpected.
There is no need to change your measurements to match a preferred size label. The aim is to find an outfit that works for you.
Open the chart on the exact product
Check the size chart on the product you want, even if you have bought something similar before. Compare all three measurements with the same row. Then check that the size is currently available in your chosen colour.

For a set, think about the fit of both the top and the bottom. A bust measurement alone cannot tell you whether the pants will suit your waist and hips.
If your measurements fall across different sizes
It is common for bust, waist and hip measurements to fall in different rows. Do not average the numbers or automatically choose the smaller label. Make a note of which measurements fall between the listed sizes and ask us about that particular design before ordering.

Check length separately
Body size and garment length answer different questions. The body chart helps you compare fit around the body. The product description gives the available garment length information.
For a kurta set, read both kurta and pant lengths. For a tunic, consider where you want the hem to sit with your own trousers or jeans. A photograph is useful for seeing the design, but the model's appearance is not a reliable length measurement for you. When a description gives a range and you need a precise length for your selected size, ask before buying.
Look at the back and sleeves too
Browse the full photo gallery. Some designs have back ties, open backs, sleeveless cuts or full sleeves. Those details matter if you have preferences about coverage or what you wear underneath.
The Mustard Halter-Neck Tunic, for example, has neck ties and an open back. The photos and description help you decide whether that style fits your plans. A size chart alone cannot make that choice for you.
Save your measurements for the next shop
Keep a short note of your measurements and the date you took them. Recheck them when needed, and always compare them with the next product's chart. This makes browsing quicker without treating any one size as universal.
